15/06/18: Abandoned hat #5

Earl's Court, on the floor  of a phone box. I was slightly tempted to take it, having lost my own hat a while back (see HERE), but I resisted.

02/06/18: Abandoned cat with launch pad

Woodside Park. It appeared that the base could be used to propel the cat through the air, but that would be animal cruelty. And anyway, it didn't work.

13/05/18: Abandoned playing card #16: six of clubs

Whetstone. According to this website, the significance of the six of clubs is as follows: "This card is also known as the 'messenger card' and one that is quite intuitive. Its presence today can indicate a time when your intuition is stronger than usual. The Six of Clubs♣ is the card of responsibility in speech and communication, and of making compromises to maintain peace."

11/05/18: Abandoned whoopee cushion

Totteridge. When I was a child, whoopee cushions had the exact same picture and text. It's nice to see that some things don't change. "When anyone sits down it emits a REAL Bronx cheer."

26/04/18: Abandoned car #5 (another update)

Totteridge. This car is in worse shape every time I see it. First it was merely abandoned (see HERE), then it was painted and roughed up a bit (see HERE). Now it's upside down.

24/04/18: Abandoned supernatural thriller

In a skip in Whetstone. An online summary of Old Magic by Marianne Curley reads: "Sensing that her new classmate, Jarrod, has supernatural powers similar to her own, Kate Warren tries to inform Jarrod of the gift he possesses since he fails to recognize it himself, but when his power reaches a dangerous level, Jarrod's disbelief ends and he soon turns to Kate for help in controlling it."

25/03/18: Abandoned playing card #14: nine of spades

Whetstone. What does the internet say about the nine of spades? Well, it claims that: "The Nine of Spades has the strongest calling to let go of attachments in life and move toward giving to others. Answering the call of a spiritual life and trust in a benign universe is the life task of the Nine of Spades person. Influenced heavily by kingly energy, a certain amount of dignity accompanies this card. Their King of Hearts card in Venus suggests strong parental values and deep commitment to their children. They take their role as head of household quite seriously. This card also provides them a certain charm with the public and an ability to control their emotions. Being out in front of others provides them an opportunity to use their innate gifts for the benefit of others. Blessed with charisma and charm, they can excel in public positions."

08/02/18: Abandoned number balloons

Millwall Dock, E14. These were in the shape of numbers – possibly a "2" and a "5" – although I doubt that the swans who live there appreciated this. More balloons HERE.

13/01/18: Abandoned Christmas trees 2018

Totteridge. The annual walk to spot abandoned Christmas trees produced 26 sightings – slightly down on the 37 from last year in Finchley (see HERE). It's fascinating to observe the different ways people dump their trees – for example, left in the gutter, leaning at a nice angle, upside down in a wheelie bin or as a shaved stick propped against a fence.

13/01/18: Abandoned fluff ball

Whetstone. I already have one fluff ball in my life (see HERE or HERE), but was pleased to find another.
