Earl's Court, on the floor  of a phone box. I was slightly tempted to take it, having lost my own hat a while back (see HERE), but I resisted.

The Long Shadow: The Great War and the Twentieth Century by David Reynolds, on one of the benches at Bank DLR station platform. Amazon reviews range from "A great book for feeble minded Daily Mail readers" to "Excellent and clearly written. I learnt a lot". Also abandoned: a bobble hat.
